For the employees of Anthon B Nilsen AS, it adds a dimension of purpose to their work to know that half of the value they create will end up as support to charities. The reason is that 50 per cent of the company is being owned by the Reidar and Gunnar Holst Trust, which is a charitable trust established by the heirs of the founding father, Mr. Anthon B Nilsen.

The equity of the trust is the shares in Anthon B Nilsen AS. From the capital earned on this equity, the Board of the Trust every year distributes in the range of NOK 6-7 million to the benefit of various organisations and projects. The main beneficiaries are projects aimed at helping troubled kids and youngsters to a better life.
